When I decided to start Petal & Pine, I knew I wanted to work with professionals who are making a real difference in the world. As someone with a background in supporting young people and families, I’ve always been drawn to helping others, particularly those who dedicate themselves to emotional wellbeing and healing.
Therapists and holistic practitioners were an obvious fit for me. I’ve seen how challenging it can be to balance the demands of client care with the overwhelming administrative tasks that come with running a business.
What drew me to this niche is the fact that burnout is all too common in the wellbeing industry. Working with clients day in and day out, especially in emotionally demanding sessions, takes a lot of energy. Many therapists and practitioners are so focused on providing the best care that they often feel weighed down by the constant pressure to keep up with paperwork, client notes, and scheduling. I’ve witnessed first-hand how this can lead to a sense of overload, leaving little time or energy for self-care or for growing their practice.
I understand that feeling. After years of experience in roles where I had to manage complex situations and stay on top of details, I know how important it is to have balance and structure. It’s crucial for therapists and wellbeing practitioners to have support in place so that they can continue to do the work they love, without feeling drained by administrative tasks. When those small but necessary tasks are taken care of, it feels like a weight has been lifted and they can then focus on what truly matters: supporting their clients’ emotional wellbeing.
Supporting therapists and wellbeing practitioners is more than just a business to me—it’s a way for me to help those who are doing the hard work of healing others to keep their own mental and emotional balance intact. I know that when these professionals feel supported, they can provide better care, avoid burnout, and continue making a real impact on the lives of their clients.
